Meet the Team

Hi, I’m Kirsty! I’m the Children and Families Outreach Worker here at St. Mary’s Church, Rowner. I’m also a proud Navy wife, married to Mike, and mum to our wonderfully lively two-year-old — with baby number two on the way! Life in our house is busy, joyful, and just a little bit noisy. Oh, and we share it with Casper, our very fluffy dog, who thinks everyone he meets is his new best friend.

 

For me, the best part of my role is building real, lasting connections in our community. I love creating a safe, welcoming space where children (and hopefully their parents and carers too!) can have fun, feel valued, and maybe even make us one of the highlights of their week.

 

Before this role, I worked in a variety of settings, all related to child development. These ranged from working in academia, to nannying and supporting prospective adopters as a Family Support Worker in the adoption team. All of those experiences have shaped the way I approach my work today.

I’ll be heading off on maternity leave from mid-August 2025 until Easter 2026, but until then, I look forward to meeting you, your family, and maybe introducing you to Casper too!
